Plato is considered the foundation of western thought in the subjects of logic, philosophy, psychology, and
politics. He is responsible for coming up with the idea of ‘forms’, which are controversially the most influential
ideas in western philosophy. He is also known for recording the thoughts of Socrates, his friend and teacher, and
for educating Aristotle. Plato was both an educator and a student around the 420s ~ 340s in Athens. He did this
partly because of Socrates’ execution, and the fact that he thought mankind needed an explanation for everything.
Plato was born in 428 B.C. in Athens, and passed away around 348 or 347 B.C. also in Athens. Plato
