The ethical topic I chose for this paper is if after menopause should reproduction be allowed or not. The ethical issue here is the fact that if a woman has a normal uterus, regardless of age or the absence of ovaries and ovarian functions, can she still be ethically able to carry and give birth to a child by using donated oocytes fertilized in vitro and transferred to their uteri. The real question is, “Is the use of technology that extends a woman’s reproductive life appropriate and sensible, and, if so, should limits be recommended for its application?
