Introduction:
There is nothing more important, in my opinion, than what a coach’s philosophy is for the conditioning and coaching of his players. Both areas predominately emphasis the mental and the physical, and can even touch upon the spiritual, which is where I believe true talent and the ability to perform originates.
A coach that is able to touch the spiritual though the mental and physical and by the words that are used, words which inspire and motivate, is most assuredly and in the truest sense of the word a teacher and coach. This philosophy is how I approach the following thoughts in the conditioning and coaching of my high school players.
