The big question is how and when did the Cold War begin? There are various ideas as to when it began starting with the signing of the Atlantic Charter in 1941, to the implementation of the Truman Doctrine in 1947. Many factors contributed to the Cold War, but probably the main factor was the relationships between Roosevelt, Churchill, and Stalin. Each of the Allies came into World War II with their own countries interest at heart. Relations were tense and there was suspicion all around, though these factors didn’t hamper relations at the beginning of the War.
