I remember that cold fall day in October five years ago. As I walked down the endless rows of new and used cars, I felt like I was walking into a court to be judged. I was oblivious to the sounds of the congested interstate-like traffic, on the country road that the dealership stood on. All that was on my mind was anticipation, a little hope, and the checkbook in my hand that seemed to weigh so heavy despite the lack of funds represented in it.
I knew it would be a matter of minutes before one of the salesmen would notice me wandering aimlessly through what seems as their territory, ready to pounce on me as a cat would a ball of yarn. In the meantime I continued to inspect each car carefully, like a doctor looking over a pat
