`I did my report on diabetes. My grandma had diabetes and my cousin Ellisa has it. My grandma had it but she passed away in November 2003. My cousin was diagnosed with juvenile diabetes at the age of 8. She was very lucky because the doctors said that her sugar levels were so low that most people would be in a diabetic comma. The doctor had her rushed to the hospital were they emergency people we waiting to start pumping 2 bags of fluid into her. Today she is 15 years old and her pancreas which is what produces insulin in your body, has quit producing insulin and she has been but on an insulin pump. Before the pump, she had to test her blood four times a day, which she still does and then she would have to give herself a shot of insul
