1984 English essay

The totalitarian society displayed in George Orwells 1984 could never be inserted into the society we live in today. One of the main reasons this could never happen would be simply because we’ve been around democracy too long and countries no longer need dictators to stabilize themselves. We as people have also come along way being stronger and smarter as a group, certain atrocities we wouldn’t allow, would cause us to rebel. The other major powers such as the US, Britain, and all of NATO might have something to say if somebody tried to set up a totalitarian government in Canada. So people who read George Orwell’s 1984 don’t have to worry about that ever happening. I believe that if someone tried to start a totalitarian society today
