The Cheney-Edwards Vice Presidential Debate
On October 5,2004 vice presidential candidate’s debated for the first time in history at Case Western Reserve University, in Cleveland, Ohio. The speakers included Richard B. Cheney, vice president of the United States, and U.S. Senator John Edwards, democratic vice presidential nominee. The debate was hosted by Gwen Ifill, from the “The NewsHour” and “Washington Week” on PBS. The debate consisted of foreign policy issues, as well as domestic matters.
One of the foreign policy issues was the war on terrorism, they believe Osama bin Laden is hiding perhaps in a cave somewhere along the Afghan-Pakistan border. The candidates where asked what kind of plan they had for capturing
