July 4th, 1776: “…[A]ll men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness” (Thomas Jefferson). The Declaration of Independence is the basis of today’s government. However, the one people who contradict Declaration are the very people who fight to protect what it stands for-the United States military. Instead of all men being equal in the military only some are equal and the “rejects” go to the wayside.
