Oedipus in “Oedipus the King”, drastically changes from a proud, respected King to a self-deprecating convicted murderer. This transformation helps define and show Oedipus’ true character. When showing this change in Oedipus, the reader gets a better understanding of the character and a realization of their true personality. To have a good analysis of the character Oedipus, you must show his transformation throughout the play.
