Esperanza's Irrational Breakdown

Around 95% of the world’s population has faith in a higher being. The level of influence faith has among people is relative to their individual participation in their faith, however most use their faith in a rational manner when considering life decisions. When a member of a faithful family dies their reaction is often along the lines of the deceased is now with God, or at peace. Esperanza’s reaction to the death of her daughter is not the norm for a faithful person but it is understandable considering the dyer circumstances. If faith was rational there would be no misunderstanding or disbelief when someone close dies, but faith is not rational it is irrational. Esperanza’s primary conflict is with faith.
