Taggers are not always interested in gang violence or owning a turf, where as street gang members fight and defend their turf. Taggers are much differently, they form groups and call them crews. What they do is go around tagging their crew name or sending messages to other crews by writing on walls with spray paint, markers, scratching glass with sharp objects.
