The beginning of my new found appreciation for Jazz starts with “All of Me,” a song by Billie Holiday. It is apparent to me that I am not able to literally explain the experience that is Billie Holiday, but i will certainly try. Her wholesome voice shines through her mournful song. The song on the whole would bring anyone with a heart into an entirely new feel. I felt like it was okay to feel sad as long as she was singing. Billie’s cries for her lover to take all of her is most touching because the emotion in her voice is ever present. Her voice fluctuates in order to prepare for the saxophone solo. The song has no boring part as soon as Billie stops singing the listener is dazzled by a soothing saxophone solo. Her voice seems to match tha
