The poem which I am going to analyze is How do I love Thee? Let me Count the Ways by Elizabeth Barrett Browning. I chose this specific poem because it has always fascinated me how so much emotion can fit into a love poem. Every word has a very powerful message to deliver to the audience. The poem starts off by stating how much she loves him, and that she will tell him the different ways she loves him. She loves him with all her soul and, with all the capacity that a soul has. Her love for him is compared to the difference between a candle light and, the light the sun gives off. She loves him as with the same passion a man has when fighting for his freedom.
