Hamlet and the Films

Over the past several centuries, there have been many plays that have moved us as an audience. Recently, in just the past century, movies have become the popular venue for entertainment. Comedies, tragedies, dramas, and plays have all been seen on “the big screen” at the movies. A famous writer, William Shakespeare, wrote many plays in his life. One of his more famous plays was that of Hamlet. And after hundreds of years of reading and acting out the play in all-different cultures, languages, and venues, it finally was put on “the big screen”.
