Jack (Jackie) Roosevelt Robinson was the first black man allowed to play in the Major League Baseball. He achieved many goals and won many exceptional awards. Jackie was active in many organizational groups involving African American and their rights. He was involved with great leaders such as Martin Luther King as well as formed his own foundation to help build low and moderate income housing. Jackie Robinson was an influential African American baseball player who tried to make the world a better place for people of his own race by breaking the color line.
