The sculpture of Buddha is one of the many fascinating and historical works of art held in the Asian Art Collection of the Hackerman House of the Walters Art Museum of Baltimore, Maryland. This particular work, entitled “Buddha,” is a sculpture, which was acquired by Henry Walters in 1920. The sculpture was created by the Chinese and is made of wood with lacquer painted over it. Buddha came from the Sui dynasty in the Hopei Province of China, and was created during ca. 590s.
