|
In Genesis 1-4 God is portrayed in two different ways. In the beginning of the creation story He is portrayed as a God that is giving. He creates the night and day, animals, and even gives man hi ultimate companion, a women. Although in the beginning we see God as an all giving God, towards chapter four He is portrayed as a divine ruler. This is brought out when the man, Adam, and the women, Eve, eat from the forbidden tree. Instantly the man and women lose there innocents and hurry to cover their naked bodies. As a result of their wrong doings God said to the women “I will greatly increase you pangs in childbearing.”
In Genesis 6:1-9 rather than being portrayed as a divine ruler, God feels sorry for ever creating human beings on Earth.
