The Four Function of Management
|
Managing people effectively is a skill that requires all four functions of management, which is planning, organizing, leading and controlling. Managers must be able to set goals and define the actions necessary to achieve those goals, determine the tasks to be done, who will do them and how those tasks will be managed and coordinated. Managers must also be capable of leading the members of their work group towards the accomplishments of the organization’s goals, as well as, how well the organization is achieving its goal and takes corrective actions to improve performance. Now let’s take a look at how planning, organizing, leading and controlling relates to job as a cosmetology instructor.
