One Cold Night
World War I and World War II were both shocking and sad experiences. Though I have not been through the experiences of these two wars, I mentally feel like I have been through them. People often say that in order for you to feel the past, you should watch a documentary or a video about it. In my opinion that is not true. “Good literature substitutes for an experience which we have not ourselves lived through”, by Solzhenitsyn. This quote is saying that some literature maybe powerful enough to help you get a clear picture of what the people in the past have been through without you physically feeling the event.
