Waking up to the Hidden Commentaries

`“Good Morning, Vietnam” is a movie which truly can be classified as both a straight comedy and a war epic. Through its humorous lines and its portrayal of the experiences of Adrian Cronauer, an Armed Forces disk jockey, the movie is able to present a social commentary on the Vietnam War. Although there are several points made through the presentation of the movie, two of them were extremely significant. These include, that a lot of information about the Vietnam War was and still is restricted from the public, and that not only did Americans suffer fighting in the Vietnam War, but innocent Vietnamese civilians did as well.
