Romeo and Juliet

Fox’s featured film Romeo and Juliet starring Leonardo Dicaprio and Claire Danes is a modern adaptation of William Shakespeare's classic love story. I must say director Baz Luhrmann's cinematic interpretation of the original screenplay is incredible. He took a step further in stirring the intensity of the plot, especially the hatred between the two families and the passion shared by the two lovers, thus successfully transforming a script of mere words into something vibrant and vivid. The mastermind of this movie employs details to make it akin to the script. For instance, Luhrmann makes Shakespeare’s poetry sound “conversational” as the characters, despite their modern vicinity, spoke not in colloquial language, but in a Shakespearian tong
