When does sex turn into homicide? The answer lies deep within the murderer’s mind. It appears that the offender receives great stimulation from a deviant sexual act and it increases beyond control through the death of the victim. It is suggested that sexually sadistic serial killing constitutes only twenty-eight percent of serial murder. (Burgess et al., 1986) This paper will examine violent acts committed by serial murderers, behaviors which most of us find difficult to conceive of, including forcible confinement, torture, and cannibalism.
