Introduction
Young Canada Dock Builders was a dock assembling and installing company in southern Ontario’s “cottage country”. The company assembled floating docks. The company was founded in late 1987 and incorporated in March 1988 by John Morrison.
“A docking system that solves more problems than it creates” was the slogan of Young Canada Dock Builders (YCDB). YCDB assembled floating docks which had distinct advantages over fixed docks. Hence there was also a growing trend away from fixed docks and towards floating docks. YCDB utilized a high density polyethylene plastic float designed and built by Yok International. These patented Yok floats had unique advantages over other dock flotation systems.
