Before I went on the trip to Dinetah, I imagined Dinetah with paved roads, signs pointing to different artifacts, a big sign with Dinetah, and everything we needed to see all in one place just like the Salmon ruins. Instead, it was nothing but dirt road and canyons and everything spread here and there.
The first stop we made was star canyon. We saw a house that maybe was used for storage but nobody really knew. We also saw paintings on the rock beside the house. We were told that the canyon and the area around it was used for buffalo ranching and the paintings on the rock was a protection painting.
