One of the things I love so much about meditation is the purity of it. Meditation brings pure thoughts and pure sensory experiences. I use the word pure here because during meditation my mind is not bogged down with worries, expectations, or judgments. Because I strive to live in the moment, I am able to eliminate such unproductive thoughts and to focus on what is in front of me. The film “Baraka” seems to operate in the same way. Without narration or coherent dialog, the film lets its images do the talking. And they speak loudly.
