Leadership and Responsibility

The text, “Management: Challenges for Tomorrow’s Leaders”, states that leadership is a responsibility and a process. I tend to agree. So many times people attain the title of leader and forget that with the title comes added responsibility. I started to learn this lesson back in my younger days when I was in the Air Force. I was stationed in Biloxi, Mississippi for technical training in electronics. I looked around one day and saw that some of the students (Airmen) were wearing green ropes on their left shoulder. I discovered that they had taken a course in leadership and successfully passed it.
