The speaker of Will D. Stanton’s poem “Dandelions” is undefined although it is reasonable to assume the speaker is a man or woman who talks of finding value in things people would normally find unusable. The speaker is willing to actually take time to look at dandelions. The speaker is speaking to the upper class society, people who mostly ignore the little things in life. The speaker tries to convey the message that a lot of things in society have values if one chooses to look at them instead of simply putting them into categories. Will D.
