Artemis
The Olympic goddess Artemis is said to be known as the virgin goddess of the moon and of the hunt. On the soft side of her, she helped women with childbirth, and protects small children and wild animals, but then on her harsh side she brought sudden death with her arrows, including dying women who asked for a quick, painless death. Artemis is the daughter of Zeus and Leto, and is the twin sister to Apollo. It is said that Artemis was the first one born of the two, and helped her mother deliver Apollo.
