Both Lifton and Baron speak on the same terms when they are trying to clarify their ideas to the reader regarding their concepts of thought reform and indoctrination. Lifton’s initial concept derives from his interest in Chinese indoctrination that was introduced to him sixty (60) some odd years ago.
