Even though, in many countries the marketing team faces a few dilemmas, they need to design activities and marketing plans that are “right” for each environment. In some occasions, what is right in one place it’s not consider a good behavior in another place.
They are three ethical principles, which can be used as a framework for the marketing department, those principles are:
- Utilitarian ethics: Does the action optimize the “common good” or benefits of all constituencies?
- Rights of the parties: Does the action respect the rights of the individuals involved?
- Justice or fairness: Does the action respect the canons of justice or fairness to all parties involved
