Mazatlan, Mexico is located on the western part of Mexico near the
Pacific Ocean. The national flag of Mexico is red, green, and white. The
red part of the flag represents when the spaniards that joined in the quest
for Independence, it’s the blood of the national heroes. The green part of
the flag represents the Independence Movement. The white part of the
flag represents the purity of the Catholic faith. There is a symbol on the
flag also, it is a eagle sitting on a tree, eating a snake. The flag was
created in 1821. Mexico’s Independence Day is on September 16th.
Mazatlan was found in 1531 by Nuno De Guzman. This area was
