What I found out about basketball, I found out that Dr. Naismith invented it. In 1891, he was a phsyaid teacher at the YMCA College in Springfield. He had games to play in the summer and spring but didn’t have anything to play inside when it got cold. So he thought back awhile and remembers seeing a couple o rugby players trying to throw there ball up into an elevated box.
