Tycho Brahe
Born on the 14 of December 1546 in Shane, then Denmark, but now Sweden. He died in 1572. Tycho observed the new star in Cassiopeia. Also he observed the stars and believed the moon and Sun revolved around the Earth but the other planets revolved around the Sun. His observations help Kepler make a model of the Copernican system.
Henry Cavendish
Born in 1731. Cavendish used a sensitive torsion balance (the Cavendish balance ) to measure the value of the gravitational constant G. This allowed him to calculate the mass of the Earth. This helped make space travel possible.
