Forces that motivate people

There are essentially two forces that motivate people: self-interest and fear. These two forms of motivations are essential to our society since they are the gears that run our decision making process model. Although these types of motivation may have disadvantages associated with them, my main discussion will be based entirely on their advantages and how people use them.
