Using Psychoanalysis to Conduct an analysis of Rebel Without

There are many ways to analyse the film Rebel Without a Cause I have decided to conduct my analysis using Psychoanalysis. I have also researched into Semiology, which brings in many more ideas about the film and the impact it had at the time it was made. Together I feel can give an interesting investigation of the film and also bring together ideas to create an analysis of a film made at a time of change.
Psychoanalysis is as a body of thought, which looks at the human mind, but also has been used to look at texts such as films too. Ideas about Psychoanalysis are mainly associated with Sigmund Freud yet those more associated with film censorship include Christian Metz (who also studied Semiology), Laura Mulvey and Robin Wood.
