A Modest Proposal to Terminate the Massacre of War
|
In the twenty-first century, there is a war being fought in at least one part of the world at any time. Two different groups fight over problems that could easily be solved with conversation and heartfelt compassion. And yet the senselessness and cruel devastation continue. As time goes on, the destruction increases and inhibitions lessen. Each war that is started is a little easier to rationalize and each bomb is a little easier to drop. As nations grow and prosper, the objects to fight over become more and more and the limits of war become less and less. The fear of war has come and gone so many times that it seems to never fully dissipate before another is plaguing the world.
