It has been told between their second and twelfth birthday, a child may watch over two hundred thousand of Saturday morning cartoon commercials. The average American child watches over forty thousand commercials every year alone. Even though Saturday Morning Advertising reaches a certain audience (the kids), it also, in due time, reaches the parents. Most of the commercial consist of breakfast foods, snacks foods, and toys. These commercial, however, also has a purpose. Just like any other commercial on T.V., advertisers are selling product in what kids like, and the parents of these kids are not happy about what there advertising and how they are advertising it.
