Many believe baseball was the brainstorm of Abner Doubleday in 1839. However, the game was actually around more than a hundred years earlier. Many believe baseball was probably just another name for a game called rounders. However, a book printed in England in 1744 entitled, A Little Pretty Pocket-Book mentioned both rounders and baseball, indicating that there was a distinction between the two games by that time.
