Martin Luther King, Jr. was born on January 15, 1929, in Atlanta, Georgia. He is also known as Michael Luther King and the Prince of Peace. His hometown was typically segregated. His father was Reverend Martin Luther King, Sr., a well-known Southern preacher. his mother was Alberta Williams, the daughter of a well-known pastor from the Ebenezer Baptist Church. King attended public schools in Atlanta. One of these was Booker T. Washington High, where he showed excellent skills in public speaking.
