Lighting the Stage
The general concept for the Musical Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde is humanity as a dual in nature. It is obvious that there are at least two sides to human beings, as stated by Dr. Jekyll himself. Therefore, it is important to not only show these differences via costuming, and the characters, but through the lighting as well. However, for the production to run smoothly and give a pleasurable appearance the lighting designer must work with each head of the production making sure all the pieces to the jigsaw puzzle come together.
One of the most important things a lighting designer needs to think about is the scenic design. If the lighting for a production is light, airy, and joyful while the sets seems to be grim and lacking
