In order to fully understand and answer the question it is first vitally important to have a solid grasp on the meaning of utilitarianism. Generally utilitarianism is a doctrine, which enables decisions to be made according to whether or not it maximises happiness, with the greatest level of happiness being produced as the goal of any act.
