Introduction
The case of Dr. Jeffery MacDonald has been infused with controversy since the murders took place, almost 34 years ago. Convicted, based on the lack of physical evidence supporting his claim of intruders, MacDonald maintains his innocence despite years of court rejections. However there were many documents obtained through the Freedom of Information Act that proved the existence of outside assailants. In fact, not only do these documents show MacDonald’s claims to be true, they also show the prosecution deliberately set out to suppress evidence supporting these claims before, during and after trial.
