Narcissism and Gender

Narcissism is considered to be both a personality type and disorder. A Narcissist is a person, male or female, that lacks self-esteem. The formation of a narcissistic personality begins in early childhood. They inwardly crave love and attention that has not been shown to them. In order to obtain these needs, a narcissist would attempt to do so through extreme displays of self-centeredness.
