I remember that my parents always tell me in my childhood that the more you read, the more knowledge you get. I indeed do it. I realize it is true that the books are the fountain of knowledge. Of course, there is much knowledge gained from experience. However, contrasted with the experiences, the books as the source of knowledge are important.
It is more knowledge gained from the books than those gained from the experience during the same time. For instance, I would read the several books about the geography of the earth on a day. But I could only walk 50 miles on the same and know little about the geography of our country.
