Saddam Hussein

Saddam Hussein was the president of Iraq for the past two decades. He was best known and most hated Arab leader. Most Iraqi citizens would not speak out against him because he would sacrifice anyone in his country to remain the president. He is more feared by his own people than any other head of state. Saddam was born on April 28, 1937 in Tikrit. His father died before he was born and his mother did not want him. His stepfather treated him very poorly. When his family refused to educate him, Saddam left in the middle of the night making his way to his uncle’s house, who raised Saddam from then on. In 1963 Hussein married his cousin, Sajida.
