There are many diseases out there that women are susceptible to. Many sexually transmitted diseases affect only women but STD’s are not a woman’s greatest problem as far as diseases go. The one disease that seems to be affecting many women today is Breast Cancer. Breast Cancer is the most common cancer amongst American women with it being speculated that and American woman has about a one in eight chance of developing breast cancer throughout her lifetime. The American Cancer Society reports that there are about 184,000 new cases each year and breast cancer was responsible for 40,000 deaths in the year 2000.
