Have you ever wondered just how much bacteria exists in the natural bodies of water that surround you…especially the bad kind of bacteria like fecal bacteria? What about our man-made drinking reservoirs? In our creeks, rivers and lakes, and reservoirs, bacteria play a vital role in helping to balance the ecosystem by contributing to both the oxygen, carbon and nitrogen elemental cycles of recycling as well as to balance each other out (i.e. keeping some unhealthy populations of bacteria to a minimum!)
