Beer importing really began to take off in the early 1980’s when craft brewing really began to open people’s eyes to the different possible flavors of beer. People soon realized that there was a potential market in importing beer from different parts of the world, because beers from different regions had there own distinct tastes, and thus the import beer market was born.
