“The 13,000 richest families in the U.S. now have almost as much income as the 20 million poorest” (Lewis 1). How will we address and solve this increasing problem? Several solutions are to eliminate the governments wasteful spending and to increase the income tax percentages of the top one percent of the America’s wealthiest. The money earned and saved could be used to better the education of the nation’s poor, allowing them to be able to compete in the job market more successfully, thus taking them out of the minimum wage bracket.
